Power & Light District Set To Host Five Copa America Watch Parties

KANSAS CITY – Sporting Kansas City announced Tuesday that Kansas City Power & Light will host watch parties for United States and Mexico group stage matches.

KC Live!, the 25,000-square foot multi-level entertainment block in the Power & Light District, will be the area’s premier watch party location for four Copa America group stage matches as the U.S. Men’s National Team and Mexico Men’s National Team take on South American opponents. No Other Pub, located outside KC Live!, will host a watch party for Mexico’s opening match on June 22. Additional watch parties planned for potential U.S. and Mexico matches during the tournament knockout rounds.

Kansas City is set to host 2 group stage matches (PER vs CAN; June 25 and EUA vs URU; July 1) at Children’s Mercy Park and GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, home of NFL franchise Kansas City Chiefs, has already hosted a soccer match this season, Sporting Kansas City vs Inter Miami CF, a record 72,610 people attended that match, the highest attendance in the 2024 MLS Regular Season as of Jun 1 and the fourth largest MLS match ever.

Arrowhead, will also host 6 2026 World Cup matches including a quarterfinal. Arrowhead Stadium will under go renovation prior to the World Cup and 2025 NFL Season including replacing 76,416 seats and removing 10 rows from the away team side of the field.
