Sporting Kansas City Defender Kayden Pierre Moves to Racing Genk

KANSAS CITY – Sporting Kansas City officially announced Kayden Pierre has departed the team after 4 seasons with the first team and an additional two with the second team.

With 18 starts over all competitions with the first team, the young US defender recorded two assists in 87 appearances in all competitions. Kayden only appeared in 4 matches last season due to an injury, keeping him from touching the pitch for the vast majority of the season.

“I just needed a fresh start” said Pierre after a 3-0 win over Orlando City “Some of the best moments of my life were here”

Pierre now joins Racing Genk in the Belgian Pro League in Belgium.
