Mentality. That’s what manager Peter Vermes has been telling the media about what he thinks is wrong with the team. “I mean, I think there’s a lot of different things you can do,” Vermes said Thursday on how to fix the teams mentality. “You can set expectations. You can maybe change that in training a little bit. There’s all kinds of little different things that you could do.” Memo Rodriguez also commented on the team mentality. “We [have] to flip that switch,”. Memo, after joining the team this year after being with Austin FC last year, will return to Q2 Stadium to play against his former team.

Injury wise, all players active and accounted for besides Dany Rosero and Remi Walter who are still suffering from quad and knee injury. Logan Ndembe was spotted at training, but not participating with the team. He suffered a torn ACL in MLS Cup Playoffs round 1 match 2 last season against St. Louis City at Children’s Mercy Park. His return date is unavailable.
