Sporting Kansas City Aims to End Winless Streak Against Vancouver Whitecaps in Midweek MLS Clash

KANSAS CITY – Sporting Kansas City (2-5-7; 11pts) is set to play their first MLS midweek game this Wednesday at Children’s Mercy Park against the Vancouver Whitecaps (5-4-5; 19pts). Both teams coming off 2-1 losses coming into matchday 16.

Vancouver, has played well this season with only 5 losses, most recently being beaten by Inter Miami at home. This will be the first of 2 matches played against SKC for the Whitecaps this season, with the next coming on July 11. “I think same style as last year, for sure. Aggressive team” Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes said prior to the match. “Good on the counter and can be fast. They can be dangerous with their speed. We’ll have to you have to be in recognition of that.”

Kansas City, who has not won an MLS match in close to two months, looks to add 3 points and break their loosing streak on Wednesday. SKC forward Daniel Salloi told media on Tuesday “We can’t give up, we have to hang in there and try to solve our problems and figure it out”
