Sporting Kansas City Extends Jake Davis

KANSAS CITY – Thursday, Sporting Kansas City announced that they have extended defender Jake Davis through the 2027 season with a 2028 option.

Davis, 22, has appeared in 38 matches since his debut in 2019, starting in 33 of those matches. Jake, a impactful defender for SKC has played a valuable role in the back 4 the whole season after transitioning to defender after his first season being in the midfield position.

Tied for first in assists (2) for Sporting as of April 27, and one goal on the season (4th). 810 minutes this season so far, third most among defenders with Jake only missing one game single game suspension after receiving 5 yellow cards.

Jake Davis set to be apart of Sporting Kansas City’s weekly media availability alongside manager Peter Vermes on Thursday.
