Five Takeaways From Lions at Chiefs

Behind the Back pass
A missed route run from Travis Kelce turned into the highlight of the week across the NFL. “It has to happen naturally, I can’t force it,” Mahomes said after the game. A non-drawn play that ended up moving the chains. “Not something I wanna try to major in, it might just be something that happens every once in a while” said Mahomes.

Field goal Perfection
Harrison Butker has not missed a field goal or extra point this preseason, being 8-8 in field goals and extra points through 2 games, including a 56-yard field goal hit during the second quarter of this game. Harrison Butker has found his rhythm again after his injury a couple years ago.

Worthy on Jet Sweeps
Mecole Hardman or better known as “The Jet” has been know to take the vast majority of jet sweep plays but now with Xavier Worthy, being the fasted player in the NFL with a 4.22 40-yard dash, he can be a valuable asset for the team moving forward, especially in this area.

Rees-Zammit for kickoffs
Coming from Rugby, where part of the game is needing to know how to kick the ball, Dave Toub is testing different guys in the kickoff position, Louis Rees-Zammit among the group. With the new kickoff rules in place this season, it will be a good time to test.

Prince the Prancer
Deneric Prince spent most of last season on the practice squad, only being moved to the active rooster for two games late last season, made quite an impact in Saturdays game. Prince rushed 7 times for 47 yards including a 41-yard run in the second quarter.
